I have read articles supporting and not supporting the project of #StopKony. And although I may not agree with the Invisible Children Organization as a whole, I agree with this campaign. Bringing awareness to a subject that most people, including myself, have never heard of is so crucial in helping it end. To let someone this atrocious walk around the face of the earth basically unheard of by majority of the global core countries is disgusting. Although IC’s strategy may not be the best plan, maybe there’s someone out there who can create a better alternative. And this campaign has really made me want to learn more about the world, to actually see the unseen and hear the unheard problems. So yes, perhaps IC isn’t the best organization, but this campaign is not about raising money, but raising awareness, and I think that’s what our world has been lacking for a very long time.
